Obtain a class change form from your counselor.
Step 2
Check in with Ms. Palouda (apalouda@powayusd.com) to see if the type of Internship you’d like to get is viable or if your Business Idea can be pursued through the Incubator program. Get her to initial your sheet.
Step 3
Have your parents sign your sheet and return to your counselor.
Internship Class Structure
Program Overview
The internship class is structured to provide students with the skills and opportunities needed to secure meaningful internships. Initially, the course focuses on helping students identify potential internship placements, offering guidance on resume building, interview preparation, and networking strategies. As students progress, they will engage in real-world experiences, applying their classroom knowledge in professional settings. This hands-on approach not only enhances their learning but also boosts their confidence and career readiness.
We meet once a week, either via zoom or on campus depending on the intership schedule. It is usually 4 pm on Wednesdays, or during 5th period Wednesdays, but this adjusts each trimester. It will be listed as a zero period on your schedule.
